This is a randomized phase III clinical trial designed for patients with diffuse large cell lymphoma. This clinical trial is evaluating the potential benefit of giving Rituximab immediately following stem cell transplant.
Patients enrolled in the study will first be given the standard therapy, which is autotologous stem cell transplantation followed by growth factors, which are given until blood counts return to normal. Patients are then randomized into one of two treatment groups
Patients will be for up to ten years to evaulate the long term effects of the study treatments.
